Great blog Todd. I think you're right, I blame the d all the time because well they suck. But you're right the offense is pretty crappy as well. I mean Elias is out right now but one player should (frank) that all up.

When your record is 1 5 3 or whatever it is combined with last season and your away record is 3 20 2 or close to that then you really have to question the coach and how long can we stay with him

yes the offense is generating top chances and scoring and yes the D has been suspect but we need to be better than I thought we played well wins are getting closer[url]

You want to get more goals having D men worth passing too on the cycle would a go a long way. It will open up a little more room down low as teams won't be able to cheat so far down low like they can now. Since there isn't a guy your really afraid of at the point teams clog the high slot and leave the D open. Only Zid and Greene really have any offense to there game as well and Greene's just okay and Zid is very risky. Makes scoring off a cycle extremely hard when maybe 3 guys on D can get a shot past the first defender.

I wish both Fayne and Larsson could both just be in and not one or the other. My link stopped working for me in the second intermission so I didn't see the third but I thought Fayne played himself a hell of a game from what I saw. I also think a lot of our scoring woes has to do with how badly we struggle to cleanly exit our own end. Take that for what you will whether its not the forwards being deep enough in our zone to help the D out or if it's just that our D is horrible at getting the puck up to the forwards. I personally think it is the defense but I thought Bryce looked great blocking shots last night and Volchenkov just missing a few times with big checks until he finally connected with Dubinsky. I think that Cory likes to be able to see the shots a lot more then Marty. Every time we collapse in tight to him to block shots he looks uncomfortable and has no idea where the puck is going because of all of our bodies in front of him and the other teams as well. Regardless of the outcome I hope Schneider gets the nod again.

Salvador had a death in the family so I'm pretty sure he will be playing...I'm going to the game tomm so I'm hoping to see Schneider, Larsson, and Fayne playing

They say how you practice is how you play your games so my question is what exactly are they doing in practice?! They look clueless and out of sync most of the time during games. And what do they spend like 10 mins. practicing the PP, because i don't think i've ever seen one as bad as ours. I'd give PDB another week or two and if things don't change then he's got to go.

I honestly can't believe Lou isn't jumping all over Aron Rome. Another poop defense man so we don't have to call up one of Gelinas or Merril when and injury happens or for whatever reason someone needs to come int the line up .

If Gelinas plays tomorrow and does really well, watch Harrold slowly disappear. Harrold looked awful last night and so did Teddy. Teddy turned the puck over which led to the second goal. Hopefully Josefson plays in his spot. He looked great against the Rangers. DeBoer said he is optimistic that Elias will play tomorrow. According to a twitter account there is a possible Larsson for Yakupov trade. If that happens watch him follow Koval(frank)s footsteps and go play in the KHL. Hopefully if Gelinas does play he will get some PP time. Him on the point with Greene would look good.

That's why I would rather Dangle Larsson + for Eberle then Yakapov. Even if Yaks turns out to be the better pure scorer.
